About HJR Lures & Fishing
HJR Lures & Fishing was founded in 2022, when 11-year-old me teamed up with my dad to start our own fishing company. We began small, hand-making inline spinners for about two years.
When we moved from Oregon to Florida, I realized it was time to take things to the next level. I wanted this business to grow to its full potential—starting with soft plastics and eventually becoming a full fishing brand selling all kinds of quality gear.
Me and my dad bought everything we needed to start pouring soft plastics, and we worked nonstop to bring the vision to life. We even grinded out our first $1,000 selling lures on the streets and at small community events. That early support pushed us forward.
At the same time, I was working hard to grow my YouTube channel. But then it hit me—I wasn’t doing it right. I wasn’t sharing my story, showing the process, or keeping the channel on-brand. So I completely shifted. I rebranded from Basshole TV to HJR Fishing, started posting consistently, and focused on showing the real journey behind the company.
Through all of this, one thing has always been clear: my dream is to become a professional fisherman. This business isn’t just a hobby—it’s part of the path I’m building toward that goal.
HJR Lures is built from passion, hustle, and a love for fishing. This isn’t a factory brand—this is a kid chasing a dream and working every day to make it real. And one of my biggest goals is to create some of the best-quality baits out there, made by hand and trusted by anglers everywhere.
